Fired Up 5K on Sept. 23

New Buffalo Township Fire Department will be hosting its second 5K race on September 23th 2023. Proceeds from the race go to Friends of New Buffalo Township Fire, which supports our NBT Fire Dept with equipment and items they need to better serve our community.
Michelle Heit, New Buffalo Township Supervisor, and James Flick, New Buffalo Township Fire Chief, write:
The race will start and finish on Community Hall Road and head down the non-motorized path, turn down Townline Road, then left on Lakeshore Road and on to the Timber Lane area. See map (PDF).
This letter is to let you know that some roads in the area of your business or home will be closed from approximately 8:30-10:30 the morning of the race. We will have plenty of police and firefighters on the course to assist with the closures. If you have an emergency and need access to closed roads, they can assist.
This is a great community event and went well last year. We hope this won’t be an inconvenience and that maybe you can join us for the race that day.
